LEKTROMIK® B1 is an electronic brake module for gentle braking of asynchronous motors. The main application is the braking of three-phase asynchronous motors. Braking of capacitor motors is also possible.
LEKTROMIK® B1 works on the principle of direct current injection into the stator winding. This generates a standing magnetic field which inhibits the movement of the squirrel cage rotor. The braking effect depends on the magnitude of the current. The braking current is generated by rectifying the supply voltage. The use of thyristors with phase angle control allows the braking delay to be set over a wide range.
